Practice Enhancement Programs

Practice Enhancement Programs (PEP) are important projects that combine the elements of a clinical trial as well as continuing professional development (CPD).

The purpose of Practice Enhancement Programs is to identify patients with cardiovascular disease who are not optimally controlled and to provide treatment in accordance with Current Canadian guidelines.

DYSIS - Epidemiological study sharing same protocol in various countries in Europe and Canada to estimate the prevalence of types of lipid abnormalities, and associated risks and relationship between the persistent lipid abnormalities and local known prevalence of CV morbidity and mortality.
PRIMULA - Practice Enhancement Program
GUIDANC - Guideline based undertaking to improve dyslipidemia management in Canada - Quality Enhancement Research Initiative in the Dyslipidemia Management Strategy Involving Monotherapy and in Combination therapy with Statin in Hugh Risk Patients who have not achieved recommended LDL Targets
CANRACE - Practice Enhancement Program
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (PAH QuERI) represents an innovative integration of guidelines and clinical care delivery aimed to identify and implement evidence based practices in routine health care setting.
QuERI - Scleroderma Pulmonary Hypertension Quality Enhancement Research Initiative
Multi-Center, Open Label Observational Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QERI) in the glycemic control management involving patients with type 2 diabetes (DM) observational study conducted over a 12 month treatment period (4 Visits) with 300-400 physicians across Canada. n
