Cardiology for the Practitioner
Saturday, April 21, 2018 | Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre, Toronto

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital, I am pleased to extend a personal invitation to you to attend a special event, the 29th in the series entitled "Cardiology for the Practitioner" which will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre in Toronto.

In the tradition of previous years, we intend to provide a first class, interactive, educational experience for key community practitioners of cardiovascular medicine. The planning committee has worked hard to select subjects which are of relevance to the contemporary practitioner. Key clinical areas that will be covered are: Atrial Fibrillation; Hypertension; Heart Failure; Diabetes Mellitus and Dyslipidemia via a case-based approach that will answer key clinical questions you have asked. As well we will showcase innovations and new combinations relevant to your patients.

Please remember that this program is structured to facilitate discussion and promote interaction between the speakers and the audience and there will be ample opportunities for informal discussion during the nutritional breaks.

We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Heart Research Centre will be partnering with us for a sixteenth year in coordinating this event. The Canadian Heart Research Centre is a federally incorporated not-for-profit academic research organization dedicated to the conduct of clinical trials and education in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease in Canada.

On behalf of the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital, I sincerely hope that you can join us for what we believe will be an outstanding educational event and an otherwise enjoyable opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues. I would encourage you to register early, bring your questions and problem cases, and join us in what promises to be a vigorous and stimulating day.
