On behalf of the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital, I am pleased to extend a personal invitation to you to attend a special event, the 21st in the series entitled "Cardiology for the Practitioner: Point-Counter Point and Consensus" which will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Hilton Toronto Hotel in Downtown Toronto. | view map

In the tradition of previous years, we intend to provide a first class, interactive, educational experience for key community practitioners of cardiovascular medicine. The planning committee has worked hard to select subjects which are of relevance to the contemporary practitioner with a particular focus on managing high risk patients and how to improve patient outcomes. We have also created an opportunity for point-counter point discussion which is aimed at creating a more comprehensive view of the topic and a platform for discussion which will include audience participation. As always, we will also provide you with details and analysis of new clinical trials and the latest data from international meetings to ensure that you have the most up-to-date information. Please remember that this program is structured to facilitate discussion and promote interaction between the speakers and the audience and there will be ample opportunities for informal discussion during the nutritional breaks.

We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Heart Research Centre will be partnering with us for an eighth year in coordinating this event. The Canadian Heart Research Centre is a federally incorporated not-for-profit academic research organization dedicated to the conduct of clinical trials and education in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease in Canada.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors from the pharmaceutical industry, we are requiring only a modest registration fee of $100.00. A tuition receipt will be made available to you prior to the meeting.
